Smith-Morra Gambit
This is the opening I prefer playing when facing the Sicilian Defense. It is not as steeped in theory as other trys against the Sicilian but it is easy to learn.
The London System
My favorite opening when starting the game with 1.d4 is the London System. It is easy to understand and has many traps and tricks.
The Scandinavian
This is the opening I have been playing the longest. I have had awesome games against very good players using this defense.
